Okay, I picked the Frag pattern for a couple of reasons but, first, let me get this out of the way... when it comes to ANY VZ Grips company grips you can count on the quality of the workmanship... it is always fantastic. Another huge plus, for me, is that grips are thinner than the factory CZ-style grips which really helps when it comes to trigger reach and control of the gun. Now, as to why I picked the Frag pattern... I have a set of "Diamond Back" pattern grips as well as a set of "Tactical Diamonds" and when VZ Grips rates them as "Very Aggressive" and "Very Grippy" they are NOT kidding. I am an old fan of diamond-style checkering but the Diamond Backs are just flatout painful for extended shooting sessions and while the Tactical Diamonds are a lot better both grip styles literally "chew" your clothing when carrying concealed. The Frag pattern is just right... a great grip and it doesn't shred my clothing... now if some of the really nice patterns like "Aliens", "Gator Backs", or the "Elite Tactical Carry" designs would make it over from the 1911 offerings to the CZ offerings....The grip (notice the singular tense) looked great, but only the right side was in the package. The small plastic container was ridiculously taped up and the other side could not have fallen out during delivery. Incredible that a company that charges $70 for a pair of grips could let this happen. Save your money and go with Coolhand grips. The quality might not be as good, but their half the price and they send you both sides. I spent a lot of time researching these, real waste of time and effort. Wish there was a 0 star rating.Man, there were two things with the CZ P-01 that I wasn't a fan of, although I knew I loved the platform. The stock grips were a bit bulky, particularly for CC, and the stock sights were terrible in anything other than daylight. Did some digging around on different grip options, and there are a ton of them, but with the reviews I'd settled on the VZ Grips. I had just ordered the Diamonds instead, but with the reviews on them being hard on the hands and clothes for carry, I came across the FRAG instead- Man I'm glad I did. These give you great friction on the hands without being punishing. They make an extended range session an absolute joy, and don't seem that they'll hang up on your clothes at all. Awesome stuff, would re-order again immediately! Oh, and they look great! These VZ grips fit my CZ 75 Compact PCR perfectly. The fit and finish is amazing and they fit flush to the frame all the way around..no gaps. These grips do NOT come with o-rings or washers. The OEM black phillips head screws that came with the rubber grips work very well with the VZ's.Time will tell if the screws stay put without o-rings or loosen a bit after shooting However, several other reviewers have reported that it's not a problem to run with just the screws on the CZ Compacts. I like the way the screws fit without o-rings so I'm hoping it won't become an issue. If you dislike the palm swell of the standard CZ grip, or find that the grip is just too wide for you to hold comfortably, you'll enjoy these grips. I plan on keeping mine, but the cost may be a bit hard to rationalize. Then again, when it comes to gun enthusiasts, rationalization usually isn't a factor in our purchasing decisions.Just wish there were more colors to choose from like the main VZ website.Update-10/18/18After using the grips for over a year I have found they are still decent. However the lip at the very top has become somewhat annoying. Instead of sanding the top of the wood to blend in with the metal the company has opted to leave a flat surface. For anyone with a CZ with a decocker it will mean resting your thumb or thumbs along the shelf of an unsanded surface. Its not a major pain just an inconvenience. I am going to try out some other grips to see if something else is on the market.I have a CZ 75 Compact that I bought for everyday carry. I wanted it to be as slim as possible, and it is thanks to these grips. They reduce the overall width to slightly less than that of a 1911. In order to accomplish that, the main beef of these grip panels are actually slightly recessed into the frame. Overall, these are just impressive, high quality grips and the frag pattern is perfectly grippy without being anything that I'd call "aggressive" which is exactly what I wanted on my carry gun and a huge improvement over the hard plastic grips that my gun shipped with.I had been on the fence a while about picking up a pair of these. This was only due to the fact that I couldn't decide what color and pattern to go with. Well, I finally pulled the trigger and went with the Frags in Black and Grey. I am very happy. The grips looks great and slimmed the profile of the gun down from what the stock grips were. I don't have huge hands so this helped. Do yourself a favor and grab yourself a pair of these in whatever color you want.Good quality. Low to moderate friction, depending on ambient temperature. Not recommended for competition shooting.
